Animated image cutter (cut to length - shorten a GIF)

This free online tool allows you to cut the duration of animated GIFs, WebP, APNG, AVIF, and JXL images. You can remove the beginning or end of the animation, or cut out the middle portion. Specify the duration in seconds or enter the exact frame numbers where you want the GIF to be cut.

If you want to cut image dimensions instead of runtime length, you should use our crop tool instead. Or, if you need finer control of each frame, you can remove selected frames or edit frame duration manually with the GIF maker.

Accuracy

Please note that cutting a GIF file by time may not always be precisely accurate. In such cases, we will try to find the closest frame to the entered time. However, if there is no exact match, we will round it to the next frame while keeping frame delays unchanged.
