Lossless Reconstruction: If a JXL file was originally created from a JPG using lossless transcoding (like with our JPG to JXL converter), this tool can reconstruct the exact original JPG bit-for-bit without any quality loss. Enable "Try Lossless Reconstruction" to attempt this.

If lossless reconstruction is not possible (e.g. for JXLs created from scratch or PNGs), the tool will convert the image to JPG using the specified quality setting.
