Add image over animated GIF / WebP / APNG

This free online tool lets you place an image on top of a GIF animation and fine-tune its position frame by frame. Simply upload your GIF, add the overlay image, and use the drag-and-drop editor to adjust the placement across individual frames. Once you're satisfied, you can generate a new GIF with your custom overlay.

How to add an image to a GIF animation

To add an image on top of a GIF animation, follow these steps:

  1. Upload your GIF file using the upload form above.
  2. Upload the overlay image (PNG, JPG, GIF, or WebP) that you want to place on top of the GIF.
  3. Use the drag-and-drop interface to position the overlay image on each frame of the animation. You can also enter exact pixel values for more precise placement.
  4. If you want to skip adding the overlay on certain frames, check the "Don't add image to this frame" option for those frames.
  5. Once you are satisfied with the positioning, click the "Create animation!" button to generate the new GIF with the overlay applied.
