Turn static image into animated GIF

This free online tool allows you to add animations to static images and convert them into animated GIFs, APNGs, WebP or AVIF files. Upload a single static image and select any animation effect you want to apply.

How to use:

  1. Upload your image — Click "Choose File" and select a static image (JPG, PNG, GIF, WebP, AVIF, etc.)
  2. Select animation effect — Choose an effect from the dropdown list (Waving Flag, Zoom, Pulse, Shake, Rainbow, Glitch, etc.)
  3. Adjust settings — Customize animation parameters like speed, frames, amplitude, or intensity
  4. Choose output format — Select your preferred animated format (GIF, APNG, WebP, or AVIF)
  5. Set animation speed — Adjust the frame delay (lower values = faster animation)
  6. Create animation — Click "Create Animation!" to generate your animated image

Animation Effects:

  • Waving Flag: Creates a realistic flag waving effect using wave distortion with customizable amplitude and wavelength.
  • Zoom: Gradually zooms in or out from your image with adjustable start and end scale percentages.
  • Pulse / Breathing: Smoothly zooms in and out in a seamless breathing loop — great for avatars and buttons.
  • Bobbing / Floating: Smooth sinusoidal hovering/floating animation (vertical or horizontal) — ideal for badges and emotes.
  • Camera Shake: Adds high-energy vibration and tremor effect — popular for action emphasis and memes.
  • Horizontal Scroll: Creates a seamless continuous horizontal scrolling roll across your image.
  • Vertical Scroll: Creates a seamless continuous vertical scrolling roll down your image.
  • Rotation: Spins your image clockwise or counter-clockwise up to a full 360° circle.
  • Swing / Pendulum: Rocks back and forth around the top edge (like a hanging sign in the wind) or around the center.
  • Rainbow / Hue Cycle: Cycles through the full 360° color wheel spectrum — great for RGB neon and psychedelic styles.
  • Glow / Brightness Pulse: Rhythmically pulses image brightness up and down like ambient breathing light.
  • Strobe / Flash: Alternates between standard and inverted (negative), white, or black flash on alternating frames.
  • Squash & Stretch: Classic cartoon squash-and-stretch bouncing deformation.
  • Swirl / Vortex: Twists the center into a vortex and unwinds back smoothly.
  • Bulge / Fish-eye Pulse: Smoothly expands the center into a magnifying bubble and returns to normal.
  • Pixelate Pulse: Downsamples the image into retro chunky pixels and sharpens back in a continuous loop.
  • Glitch / RGB Split: Offsets color channels (chromatic aberration) for a cyberpunk aesthetic.
